So.. Here is my latest project. It is a crochet soaker I tested out for a friend. Very nice and esy to do. I canont believe how cute it is. Thick too. Unfortunately I made it out of acrylic yarn. Bummer.. But.. Will make a cute diaper cover in the summer for some lucky babe.. LOL Girl or Boy would be cute in these.

Guess what... I gor my Weasley swap package.. I love it!! Here are pictures. So.. Muggle post deliverd my package and here is what was inside. I got a scroll letter from Fred and George Weasley. They will be distributing the Skiving Snackboxes in the US. COOL!! I also got a Weasley hat that I love. And to boot.. I got a skiving snackbox with fever fudge, puking pastiles, nosebleed nougats and fainting fancies. How cool is this... I love it....... Tiffany did a fantastic job. Looks just like the movie prop.





So my foot feels a bit better. It is healing nicely and doesn't throb anymore. Still hurts if I take something in the arch, but other than that I am walking really good.
We had some excitement at the office. Big accident and not real pretty. Truck got squished. Nobody got hurt thankfully, but here is a picture for you to look at..

What you have all been waiting for.. LOL Here is a picture of the completed items I made for my Weasley household swap. I sent these to my partner Tiffany. I think they turned out really great. Not that I am prejudiced or anything.. LOL

FOOT UPDATE!!

It hurts like hell, walking is a PITA, upset stomach from the antibiotics, and worse yet... I still went in to work today.. LOL
However, it is healing and no signs of infection. That is GREAT news..

Okay.. off to do some more clean up on Mondays catastrophe...

Okay, so I am having a total crisis here. I came home from work and all was well. I got the laundry started, the dishes done, lawn mowed.. Well, I didn't do it all, but directed the kids on some of it. Then kabam!! The toilet clogged up.. I decided to plunge it like you normally would.. Yeah right.. I had crap backed up in my bathtub and Brittni was hollering from the basement to stop. Yep.. Crap was everywhere in the basement. I blew the pipes apart and it was flooding the basement.. GROSS!!!! So.. I pulled the drain plug in the floor out and set it on the floor next to the drain and put a rug down. My plan was to sweep it all down the bottom drain. Little did I know, I laid the rug right on top of the plug. Now.. This particular plug has 3 really DULL prongs on the bottom to hold it in place in the hole. See the following pictures. Notice how nasty dirty it is.. Again I say... GROSS!!! Yep... You go it. This is looking really unfortunate isn't it. Are you figuring out where I am going with this yet? I stepped on the carpet in a hurry and with all my weight. Now you are getting it aren't you?? It went right into my foot.. I had to pull it out. OUCH!!! Picture.. 4x4 carpet and plug stuck in my foot.. Again I say.. OUCH!!! I make my way upstairs. Roll up a towel, stand all my weight on it to stop the increasingly large amount of blood that it pulsating out of my wound. Call Brittni and make her come home early to take me to the enmergency room. Holler for Courtney to bring me the Excedrin Migraine and my sprite. Patiently wait for Brittni to get home. Once she got home I wrapped my foot nice and neat in the towel and loaded my rear into the car and away we went.. Get to the emergency room where they proceeded to put my foot into cleaning solution. Tell me how nasty the gaping hole is and that I did a great job I did.. LOL Of course we had xrays and all kinds of poking around. To my disbelief, they found a piece of carpeting in my open wound. Yeah.. Guess what.. They had to pick it out. And again I say.. OUCH!!! After all the pain and torture I endured, they put me on antibiotics and pain killers. Cause witht he looks of the plug, I could very well get an infection from the "whatever" that is growing on it.. LOL.. Now for hte gross out pictures of the wound. These are the natural position of the wound, so you cannot see the huge gaping inner hole that I managed to make inside the foot by steppping at an angle and then straightening the foot with the prong still in there. Yeah.. Probably not the greatest idea, but hey.. I wasn't really thinking clearly.. LOL

Now if I was to have spread the wound for you to see, just past the opening of the wound is the beginning of a HUGE black hole. I managed to make a really nice flap on the outside. It literally lays over top of the hole. Wierd..
Oh yeah. Never mind the cracked and stained barefoot syndrome my feet have.. LOL That is what you get when you refuse to wear shoes all summer.. LOL

Okay.. enough of the gross stuff. I am off to bed. The Tordol (spelling unsure) is kicking in and I am getting way to sleepy.. So.. I am gonna let you all go and get some rest. Course that is after I put a new bandage on my foot and a clean sock as I just noticed that it is completely covered in blood for the 3rd time since I have been home. And yet this is supposed to be NORMAL??? Okay.. Hence why I am not a doctor.. LOL

Here is my progress. I finished the trim and the handle today. It is really coming along nicely. I was having a bit of difficulty figuring out what to use to line the bag, but I finally found a decent fabric to match it. It is not perfect, but will do nicely enough. I will be heading to my shop this afternoon to get it cut out and such. Will probably sew it up tomorrow. Just not in the mood to sew today. LOL!!

I have to get my baby mushroom finished too. Will probably do that tomorrow too. One never knows what is in store for me over at the office.. So.. making plans for the remainder of the day is useless. I do know that we finally got the Taurus fixed. It is a white 1998 and in pretty good condition. It is a tow in vehicle and the owner surrendered the car because the transmission was bad. We put a new one in it and it is a great car. Front wheel bearings are shot, but we will replace those soon. Now I get a car to drive instead of being a minivan soccer mom all the time.. YEAH!!! Not that I dont' like the minivan, I just never really wanted one of my own.. LOL I am more of a car type of person, but with 4 kids, a minivan is pretty much the only way to go. Especially when 2 are still in booster seats.. LOL

And here is Mr. Ultimately Disgusting.. The kids had a campfire last night and slept in a tent. Well.. This is what they found on the house. How gross is this. I have no idea what type of spider he is, but it is just sick. He has been relocated to the pine trees way out back.. LOL

So here I sit being bored. The kids are camping out in the backyard. Well.. theya re in here right now pestering me while I was trying to watch Pathfinder. Great movie from what I have seen, but .. I am fixin to kick them outside soon.. LOL As I sit here, I decided tomake myself a mushroom with some leftover yarns I had sitting around. I will post some pictures of my recent creations and in progress works. Just keep reading.. LOL

I am finally feeling better. I got a nasy virus thing from a mosquito. Really yucky, but at least I can't get it agian. Immune thing and all. I have to confess that it really put me out of commission. I couldn't even sit. It was horrible. Even my hair folicles ached.

Yeah!!! Another pair of longies finished. These are the Koolaid dyed ones. They turned out really well and I love the colors. YEAH ME!!!!

Word of advise.. do not attemp this when you are totally sick and flat on your back. No matter what. I think it made my head worse and did absolutely nothing to make me feel better.. LOL

Never guess what this is.. Yep the infamous Ginny Weasley beehive hat she wore in the GoF. Second task I think.. I got it as a free pattern and I love it. Now to make another one for myself. This one is a gift.. LOL

So I am absolutely miserable.. i have this nasty head thing going on.. LOL No, not a mental head thing, just a head thing.. LOL

My eyes feel gritty and dry, my nose is stuffed half the time and dripping the next, my taste buds are shot. I went to Red Lobster for lunch today (brother in law was in town from Florida and was leaving today, so we had to take him to lunch.. LOL) Bummer was.. I couldn't even taste my food. Lobster and shrimp and it might as well have been cardboard.. I wouldn't have known the difference..

It all started last week.. I went to the office on Thursday like always. I laid on the couch (only for 5 minutes.. LOL) That was at 8:30. 10:30, Paul woke me up and asked if I wanted to go home. Of course I said no.. I had work to do.. He sent me home and I slept all day. Friday morning I went to work and made it until about 2:00pm. I went and slept the remainder of the day. Got up this morning feeling like I had literally been crushed. My hair folicles even hurt.. LOL Really sucks.. But..I really wanted to spend time with David before he left for Florida. I just wish I had felt better. Seems every time he comes to visit I am sick. He even made a comment about how I am always coughing when he sees me.. LOL Needless to say... before I could go home and sleep, I had to stop at Hobby Lobby to get some knitting needles in the right size for my next project.. And Brittni wanted to stop at Best Buy for a new Insignia 4 GB video mp3 palyer.. So.. Once those stops were out of the way, I finally got to go home and go to sleep. Just to give a general idea how miserable I was and still am, I almost had Brittni drive me home. Only 17 and still makes me sooo nervous. LOL I held it together until I got home. Crawled into bed and just got up about an hour ago.. LOL Now I am no longer tired and it is almost 12:30 am.. LOL Wonderful..

I gotta tell you.. I am mildly irritated.. I am a soapmaker. I make and sell soap for profit. I list all the ingredients on my labels so you know exactly what you are getting. It really pi**es me off when I see someone selling soap and they do not list the ingredients. When I purchase something, I expect to at least be entitled to know what it is that I am buying.

Since the ingredients were not listed on the website completely, I "assumed" that they would be on the packaging.. So I went ahead and bought some soap. It arrived and nope... no ingredients. This soap is used to wash my soakers that will be put on tiny soft baby skin. Would you put something on your child washed in something you have no idea what it is made of? Not me.. I may not be able to understand what some things are in the ingredients list, but at least if there is a problem, I can provide the ingredients to the doctor.

I emailed the gal making the soap. She stated she was afraid that someone would "copy" her recipe. I just laughed. Anyone making soap knows you cannot completely copy a recipe just by knowing the ingredients. You would have to know the exact proportions of each ingredient to copy it and that is impossible to know just by looking at the ingredients.. LOL How stupid. I understand wanting to protect your hard work, but for you to completely disregard the common labeling practice is just dumb.. I want my customers to know exactly what they are using.. LOL

Okay enough venting. back to knitting. Hope to have my next pair done tomorrow.. Only one lef left.. LOL. Have dyed by me I might add..

I have finally finished and taken pictures of my latest longie. These were a bit long in the rise.. LOL 20 inches, slim in hte hip, but really cute nonetheless. They are made with pure handspun goodness.. A bit rough yet, but with a good wash and soak in lanolin and they will be soft as ever (I hope). Let me know what you think. I am always happy to do custom orders.


Here are a couple hats I just crocheted. Very cute.. LOL I used 2 strands of worsted weight yarn together for these. Just something to do. Macky loves them, so I must have done something right. LOL

Yeah.. so I didn't get to go to the concert. Ended up being cancelled. Bummer, but will catch it next year.

An update on my ebay problem. The case was closed yesterday or today. I lost the case. Basically she got away with selling junk and ripping me off of $51.00. That is just not right. I called paypal and they are starting up a new dispute for item severely not as described. Asked me for pictures which i will be providing. As well as a picture of the shipping envelope with date intact. They said that she has to make this right. Since she has not offered a thing other than "I shipped it and she received it and that is that" attitude, they will be investigating her as well. They have notes in this new dispute on her contradicting herself.

1. Didn't receive any measurements turned into made to the measurements sent.
2. Mailed 2 days after payment cleared turned into postdated 3 days after claim filed.
3. Left bottom unhemmed only turned into bottom and side unhemmed.

This is all documented in the case, so.. according to paypal she will have to offer some sort of satisfaction. Cross your fingers. I have slacked on fixing it because of principle. I will wait to find out what happens. Sellers should not be allowed to do this type of thing. I will keep this going just to prove a point to this seller. She will hopefully have to conceed in the end and maybe she will be more honest in the end.

It is raining!! Gash darn raining!! ARG!! DOUBLE FRACK!! SPIT SPIT!!! I am sooooo stinking P'Oed right now!!! STOMPING MY FEET.. ohh... I am just so mad.. It just has to rain today... My friggin concert is tonight and now everything is going to be soaked, muddy and if it stops raining it is going to be muggy... I have been waiting all summer for this concert.. Steve Miller is one of my favorites.. VIP tickets, VIP tent with free food and beer, and front row sitting... GOSH DARNIT!!! Why the heck does my parade always get rained on?? ARGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Okay I have a plan.... I am going to insist that they put up a bubble over Constitution Park.. Get a ton of dryers out there and get the ground dry (at least my spot), and have it ready by 4pm. LOL!! I know, I know... but it was a thought.. LOL Don't think the govm't would actually do that just for me, but would have been great.. LOL

2 years ago when Journey was there, it rained the day before the concert. Big trenches were dug in the park by the tires of every vehicle they had out there setting up. It was awful. Funny to see the drunks fall, but not really cool.

Thankfully it is set up already from the Quiet Riot concert out there on Thursday night.. Slaughter sucked. Vince Neil didn't even sing his own songs, he did all the old group songs. Kind of upsetting.. Firehouse ROCKED!!! And holy crap did they all look old.. LOL Not saying alot for myself now.. LOL If they are getting old, then I must be too..

But.. back to the rain. It is really down-pouring right now. WOW!! Just looked at NOAA and the forcast til Tuesday is RAIN!! I love rain.. I really do... BUT NOT ON CONCERT NIGHT!!!! Oh.. Frack!!! I am going to go do laundry now and pout!!

Here is what I am working on now. Sheepy Pants Longies. Very cool. Great pattern and a perfect one for beginners. I am using some handspun wool. Oh so lucious.. I really love it. Has some bits of "stuff" in it still, but it really is great to work with. So much lanolin in it still. Soft hands are a bonus.. LOL

It has been such a long week. I am very tired. I will be going to see the Steve Miller Band tomorrow night at the Army Concert tour Wi stop. I cannot wait. My dear brother gave me 2 VIP tickets to it. Gotta love that. LOL I am taking Baby Nick with me. That should prove interesting.. LOL So.. I am going to hang it up for the night.. Get some sleep so I can get my work done in the morning before getting ready for the concert.. LOL

You have a right to drive, but you also have a right to be safe while you are driving. It is your responsibility to make sure you are in safe condition to be driving when you are behind the wheel. This is what we were called out for at 12:30 am Saturday morning. The man driving this truck was tired. He fell asleep behind the wheel of a semi carrying hazardous material. Dry Ice. Very dangerous...

Hey all.. I got an update for ya on the ebay tragedy. I am not going to say that this "gal" is a bad person.. I do not know her personally. Frankly.. I really don't think I would want to. But here it is..

I filed the paypal complaint and there have been a couple messages, but nothing major. No apology or anything to make this outfit right. So.. I left another message asking for a partial refund. She sent an email to paypal stating that she feels this should be over because I got the outfit. Apparently "who cares if it sucks, she got something in the mail and that should be good enough".. is her new philosophy. She also stated that she made the outfit to my specifications.. Hmmm...

So.. not only did she lie again, but she also escilated the paypal "non receipt" dispute to an all out claim. She has ended communication. Apparently she doesn't want to make this right. I didn't even get the chance to respond to her "I made the outfit perfect and want it closed" email. Hmmm.. see the "perfect" pictures in my other post if you needed a reminder of what "perfect" apparently is.. LOL

So.... I called paypal customer service on the phone.. I was so upset.. Well no.. I wasn't upset. I was mad as heck! Apparently it doesn't matter who files the dispute. Either one of you can escilate it to a claim.. No matter.. Seems to me she bit her own hand.. She sadly misrepresented the outfit, left it unfinished, and mailed it only after the dispute was filed. TO LATE!!! I have dealt with paypal enough to know that she is going to have to eat some crow. Either refund and take the outfit back, or make it right. You cannot just sell a piece of uncompleted fabric and call it an outfit and think you can honestly get away with it. As a buyer, i made sure it was a buyer protection item. If the buyer isn't happy, the seller has to make it right.

I can't go into to much detail since I know she (the seller) reads my blog. I didn't realize we had a mutual friend on one of the yahoo groups I belong to. Well.. this friend has informed me that this isn't the first time she has done something like this. Nice.. The last time she got away with it. but.. I hope she doesn't this time. Seems to me it is time to take the licks..

On another note.................................. I GOT A HAIR CUT TODAY!!!!!!!

They took off about 5 inches.. Holy Crap is that alot of hair.. LOL But it is so cute.. I really do like it. Took off about 5 years. Now if my body would conform to my wishes and help out, I would be happy.. LOL another 30 pounds and I would be in heaven.. Course another 40 and I would be close to what i was at graduation from high school.. LOL Like that will happen.. But it is my dream world and I can see it how I want to.. LOL

Okay. It is way to late.. I am getting a headache from to much coffee and I really need to get to bed.. Long day tomorrow and I really should get at least 5 hours of sleep. Snap.. gotta get the laundry switched around too or I will be going all day with no britches on.. LOL Guess I better switch that laundry around.. LOL

Look what I made yesterday.. YEAH!!! I couldn't resist buying the instructions for these braided headbands. I got the instructions on ebay. They are sooo simple to make. I am not sure I like the underside. The ribbon is just laid over it and overlapped on the topside. I think I will wrap the blank headband on the next one.

I got a whole crapload of ribbon from a neighbor who doesn't craft anymore. She was cleaning out her craft room. Lots more stuff to come. They are turning this house into a "summer home" and moving south. So.. everything has to go. Lucky me she was a HUGE crafter.. I think she dabbled in everything.. LOL

So is anyone else desperate for school to start? I love my girls, but sheesh.. I really cannot wait til the first day of school. They are completely bored. Nothing else to do other than the little ones getting to Wisconsin Dells. Think we are going to skip it this year. The older 2 have already gone. Macky goes to the Best Western, Super 8 and the Country Inn to go swimming, so the Dells aren't really a big deal.. LOL Katie of course is to little to even care. She hates water anyway.

Paul has been super busy at the office. Dump Trucks seem to be needing repair this time of year. Word of advice to you if you own dump trucks. Power wash the under carriage of your trucks. Get all that gunk, dirt and yuck out of there. All hte grease zerks and such get filled up. Not pretty. And to top it off, all that crap eats the stuffing out of the frame and everything else under there. Proper maintanence will save you money in the end. Just ask the fellow that lost his driveshaft on the interstate. $4900.00 later his is wishing he had taken better care of his stuff.. LOL this includes cars, trucks.. whatever. Make sure if you are in the dirt or gunk that you are properly cleaning the undercarriage of your vehilces.
Okay.. enough of that work talk.. LOL

I am off to watch a movie. Sunday and I am so horribly tired all I want to do is lay here and do NOTHING!!!

Soooooooooooo........... before I tell you about my crappy ebay experience, here is what I accomplished today.. i made some key fobs for DH's business. P.E.R. Towing & Recovery. Aren't they cute!! I made them with nylon belting instead of cotton cause I couldn't find any. I needed them to be 1.5 inch, but could only find 1 inch. BUMMER... But they still turned out okay..




I gotta tell you.. I have lost alot of faith in my ability to choose decent people to buy things from.. I really gotta start being more choosy..Libby totally rock!! So far she has been the only one to actually get my custom orders to me in a reasonably fast time.. And she is ready to burst with pregnancy.. Go figure.. LOL

I ordered an outfit on ebay. I sent the payment which turned out to be an echeck since I forgot to update my credit card thru paypal when my back got taken over by a new bank. Took 9 or so days to clear, but I paid it. I sent the measurements a total of 3 times and this woman claims she never received them. So she adlibbed and made the waist at 37 inches. Told me she added a buttonhole to it. Left it unhemmed. okay.. unhemmed.. no problem. I can zip that up in no time..

I emailed her to ask where it was, and she emailed me asking how we liked it. I emailed her back to tell her that we never received it. She told me she mailed it 2 days after my echeck "finally" cleared the bank. That would have put the mailing on the 12th or so of July. She still claimed she mailed it.

I filed a complaint thru paypal since I could see a problem. Went to the post office and asked them about what I could do to track the package. They said to get a copy of the receipt and they would see if they could find it in the lost or damaged boxes at each post office between here and there. I requested a copy with no response. This was on the 26th. As of today, I still have not received a response. However, she stated to paypal that she did mail it "awhile ago" and that somehow I never sent her any emails since they weren't recorded with ebay. Funny thing about email is you can keep a copy in your sent folders with read receipts. She sent me one read receipt for one of the emails with the measurements.. LOL But she of course never received it.

Anyway.. I got a call from the post office today. They had a package I needed to pick up because my driver was gone before it got there. Nice to know people in the PO. Anyway.. guess what arrived???? Yep the package. Postmarked the 27th of July.. Hmmm.. I thought it was mailed out around the 12th?? I filed my complaint with paypal on the 24th. How can you say you mailed it to paypal and then have the balls to mail it 3 days after you are threatened with having to give a refund..

Okay.. so anyway.. I left the post office and opened the package while driving. Stupid.. I know.. The first thing I saw was the falling apart embroidery lightening bolt on the bodice of the apron top. I was so pissed. I slammed the skirt onto my lap and a stick pin jabbed 1 inch into my upper thigh.. OUCH!!!! I was wearing brnd new khaki pants. Bled like a stuck pig.. It was awful.. Who the hell leaves stick pins in clothing they send thru the mail????????? Okay.. I throw the whole thing into the passenger seat and proceed to the office. I got to the office and took the outfit into the shop with me. I start looking it over..

Okay.. so the patchwork on it is incredible. I do love that. It is also made nice and strong and each block is serged. Can't complain about that.. LOL And the turtle applique is super neat. i do love that. Hence the reason I bought it.. LOL

Now for the wrap skirt...
Here is a picture of the killer needle and unfinished side hem and bottom hem that is totally uneven. It hangs down on one side at least 2 inches longer than the patchwork side... Why on earth would you send this to someone who paid for a finished item?

Now another. now this one is hard to see, but it is the top of the unfinished side. Thing about this is that the tie that goes around the waist is already sewn on. How do you hem it without having to remove that tie?? Again notice that hte tear away stabilizer was not removed and the thread was not trimmed..

Now here is the applique on the wrap skirt. It is to die for. Left untrimmed.. on top of everything else wrong, it is mildly irritating..


Okay.. So there you have it. Some of the things really aren't that bad and I wouldn't have even mentioned them, however, when you add the whole package up.. I am soooo pissed off..

I understand some people just don't have common sense, but crap.. do they not have a brain either??? This gal does shit work for clothing and needs alot of help learning to use her embroidery machine, but she could make a killing selling patchwork fabric.. LOL

Did I mention that the patchwork was super great? It really is.. And that is the ONLY reason I am willing to fix her mistakes. Somehow.. Oh yeah.. wouldn't that lotus applique look great as a tatoo.. One thing comes to mind.. "tramp stamp" LOL

Okay.. so here is a picture of the red and white bag finished without the handles..

Recycled "Plastic Bag" Bag Pattern

this pattern assumes you have pre cut, connected and rolled "plastic bag" yarn.

With I hook
Foundation row: Chain 15.
Round 1: sc in second chain from hook and in each chain across to 2nd chain.
3 sc in first chain and sc in each ch on foundation row. 2 sc in last chain. slip stitch to beginning sc.
chain 1.
Round 2: SC in each sc around except the middle sc in the( 3 sc clump) on the ends. 3 sc need to be put there. This will increase your bottom while allowing it to remain slightly flat. slilp stitch to first sc. chain 1
Round 3, 4 and 5: repeat round 2
Round 6: Working in front loops only this round.. Sc in each front loop of each sc around. No increases. This makes the bag take shape. No need to slip stitch to first sc.. Just mark your rows..
Round 7 thru 22: In both loops sc in each sc around.
You can make this as tall as you like...
End round: Slip stitch around and tie off.

Lay your bag flat.. Mark off the end 5 stitches on each side. You will be crocheting into these 10 stitches only.. the rest will be skipped..

Handles..
Round 1: Attach your "yarn" to the first sc in one of your marked 5 sc's. sc in those 5, chain 50, sc in next 5 marked sc's, chain 50 and attatch to first sc.
Round 2: Sc in first 5 stitches, ss in next 50 ch's, 5 sc, ss in next 50 ch's.
Round 3 and 4: SC in each stitch around both loops.
At end of round 4 finish off. Test your bag out and see how it works for you.

Feel free to adjust the pattern in any way you choose. This is just meant as a guidline..
