I just completed another pair of wool shorties. These ones are just to adorable. I used 100% merino wool that has been dyed with koolaid. I used a scrap with some lime green in it for trim and it is amazingly cute. I listed them on Etsy in my store if you are interested. They are a meduim size.

This is what we woke up to yesterday. More freaking snow. ARG!!! I really do love snow.. but.. sheesh.. I am tired of shoveling.. I am tired of being cold.. And I am tired of having ice and gunk packed up under my van. It is driving me nuts.
The following picture is a lesson learned.. LOL We are learning that it is not fun to color on the furniture. Since this was her 3rd time doing it, I figured she could clean it. At 7 years old, one would think that she would learn from her mistakes and make new ones.. NO way... Not Katie.. LOL She keeps doing the same things over and over. It takes about 10 times before she gets the picture. So.. isn't she cute.. LOL

Now.. All that said.. I completed these newborn shorties last night. They are made with handdyed with koolaid merino wool. They are so freaking cute. I just listed them in my etsy store.I started this pair this morning and finally finished them around 2 this afternoon. I think they turned out perfect. I had alot more of the yarn than I thought, so I have some leftover for trim on another pair.. YAY!! This pair is a bit bigger. A size small.. Now this is a picture of the newborn on top of the smalls to show you the size difference. Aren't they super cute.. LOL

I gotta tell you.. I am mildly irritated.. I am a soapmaker. I make and sell soap for profit. I list all the ingredients on my labels so you know exactly what you are getting. It really pi**es me off when I see someone selling soap and they do not list the ingredients. When I purchase something, I expect to at least be entitled to know what it is that I am buying.

Since the ingredients were not listed on the website completely, I "assumed" that they would be on the packaging.. So I went ahead and bought some soap. It arrived and nope... no ingredients. This soap is used to wash my soakers that will be put on tiny soft baby skin. Would you put something on your child washed in something you have no idea what it is made of? Not me.. I may not be able to understand what some things are in the ingredients list, but at least if there is a problem, I can provide the ingredients to the doctor.

I emailed the gal making the soap. She stated she was afraid that someone would "copy" her recipe. I just laughed. Anyone making soap knows you cannot completely copy a recipe just by knowing the ingredients. You would have to know the exact proportions of each ingredient to copy it and that is impossible to know just by looking at the ingredients.. LOL How stupid. I understand wanting to protect your hard work, but for you to completely disregard the common labeling practice is just dumb.. I want my customers to know exactly what they are using.. LOL

Okay enough venting. back to knitting. Hope to have my next pair done tomorrow.. Only one lef left.. LOL. Have dyed by me I might add..

Stay tuned..

Okay.. posted edited. I couldn't resist. Here I am to date with it..

Well, my soaker pants didn't work out witht he chunky yarn. The legs were just to small, sooo yep... I frogged it.. Now to find a new project for that yarn.. LOL
Been very busy here at home. Took the kids out Trick or Treating last night. Man,,, they really made a haul of candy. Course, we went to a couple houses where they literally gave them handfuls of candy. Guess they didn't want left overs.. LOL
I am off to find a sock pattern. I really want to try out making a pair of ankle socks for myself. I love hand knit socks. Make your feet feel soooo good.
Bum is getting better too. Still sore, but at least I can sit now..

Well, here goes.. My week started out decent and productive.. However, yesterday I thought it would be fun to fall down the stairs. Yep.. figured out it wasn't and would rather never do that again. I think I broke my backside.. LOL Pride too. Thankfully nobody actually saw me to it..

But, I have started a pair of knit pants for my 4yr old dd. She is sooo proud and keeps trying to wear them while they are on my needles.. She is a charmer for sure. I will post a picture soon. It is supposed to be a soaker longie made out of wool. Since it is a test run for a pattern I am creating, I figured I would use acrylic so it wasn't to expensive if it doesn't turn out.

Here is a picture of it in progress.

I did get my place setting finished. I am going to put it on a tray to take to my neighbor with Xmas breakfast. I think it turned out pretty nice. I finished it on Wednesday.
